Rashid Taleb Al Nabet

Rashid Al Nabit holds a Master Degree of Transport Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree of Administration and Economics, as well as diplomas in Language and Communication Skills and Maritime Studies, Certificate of skills development program leaders and supervisors and several technical and administrative courses Mr. Rashid is a Member of the Mowasalat Company’s Board, the National Committee for Traffic Safety, the GCC Railway Committee, Hassad Food Company’s Board and several boards, committees, specialized committees and subcommittees. He is Chairman of the Heavy Transport Regulation Committee and Chairman of the Integrated System of Public Transport Tickets. Mr. Rashid al Nabit has 15+ years of experience in the transport sector, in which he worked as Director of the Land Transport Planning, Acting Director for Land Transport Planning, Deputy Director of the of Public Transport Affair and Head of Transportation and Head of Maritime. He has also contributed and participated in many local, regional and international conferences related to the transport and communications.

Moen Azmi

Moen is a specialized Traffic Engineer and he is working with Arab Engineering Bureau as Head of Transport Planning and Infrastructure Department. He received his M.S. degree in Transportation Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has been actively contributing on Transportation Planning projects for over 17 years. His international experience includes mega transportation planning projects at UAE, Qatar, India, Sudan, Oman, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

He has number of Research Publications in International Journals and seminars. His areas of interest are Transport Modeling and Simulation.

Dr. Kim Jraiw

Manager, National Traffic Safety Committee, Ministry of Interior, Qatar

Kim is Manager of the National Traffic Safety Office of the National Traffic Safety Committee in Qatar. He is former Technical Director of the National Transport Strategy 2010-2020 for Kuwait under UN Program, and Lead Specialist with the Multilateral Development Banks. Kim expertise includes 30 years in various transport areas with the UN, Multilateral Development Banks, and various organizations in the UK, USA, Australia, China, Kuwait, Qatar, and Germany. His accomplishments include:                                                                                                                         

  • Lead Transport Sector Adviser for Governments (over $700 billion projects).
  • Management of loan projects provided for the developing countries (over $14 billion).

Amr Metwally

Amr Metwally as Lead Architect Designer for the MENA Region has been a key figure in the region for the past 12 years in developing both sustainable and visionary architectural award winning healthcare, corporate/commercial, and higher education projects in GCC and Egypt. His intuitive approach to design combines with a focus on interdisciplinary integration among architects, engineers, landscape architects, and interior designers resulting in rich project solutions.

He is a leader in Healthcare Design in the Middle East with Major Projects like New Al Mafraq Hospital, SKMC Dialysis, Renovation of the Royal Suite in SKMC Hospital, Cyclotron PET CT Center, SNF and Qatar Bio Bank.

Amr's Designed project have been recognized regionally and internationally by receiving many wards like the Cityscape Award, Hospital Build Award for the best hospital design in ME and SBID for the most intelligence design of the year worldwide 2013 which he has been recognized at the House of the Lord in London.

Amr graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Alexandria University and recently acts as head of architecture division in Project Management & Construction Department at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar.

Amr participated as a guest speaker in many conferences in MENA Region and recently shortlisted for the Architect of the year 2013 plus his name voted in the top 50 designers who reshaped the design industry in ME for 2013.

Omar Al-Battaineh

Associate | Transport Planner, Arup

Omar Al-Battaineh is Associate at international engineering consultancy Arup leading Transport Planning for the UAE. With 14 years of planning experience, he leads transport planning and parking design teams and projects.  Omar is a chartered engineer and holds a master’s degree in transport planning from the University of Toronto in Canada and Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from the Jordan University of Science and Technology in Jordan. Omar has extensive experience in all areas of transport and urban planning including management of large multi-disciplinary projects; multi-modal transport master plans and policies; master planning; transport impact studies; design of complete streets, street networks and junctions; parking studies and design; transport modelling; stakeholders management; and managing of multi-disciplinary planning teams. Omar worked in the UAE for the last 11 years, serving private developers and government clients in the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Kuwait. He is currently providing advice for large scale development projects in the region. Omar is a promoter of complete streets in our cities in the Middle East.  His key aims are to encourage innovative project solutions with complete understanding of local requirements. Mohammad Nabil Ibrahim

Lead Transport Engineer, Department of Transport – Abu Dhabi

Mohammad Nabil received master degree in engineering management from University of Wollongong and degree in civil engineering from Al-Balqa’ Applied University. He is working in the field of transportation planning for 13 years and currently in the Department of Municipal Affairs & Transport in Abu Dhabi as Lead Transportation Engineer with previous experience in RTA-Dubai and private consultants. He is a professional engineer recognized by Engineers Australia and Jordan Engineers Association. He participated as a speaker in the subject of parking policies and road safety engineering and received the parking award from Gulf Traffic 2014 on behalf of DOT and the award of Joint and Collaborative project for safety and traffic solutions committee by Chairman of DOT in Abu Dhabi.

Mr. Ghosh has lead major parking projects in the region including Dubai Trip Generation and Parking Manual, Dubai Parking Policy, Abu Dhabi Trip Generation and Parking Rates Manual, Lusail Transportation Study, Lusail Parking Strategy etc. He also reviewed and contributed in the parking strategies for Vendome Mall, Katara Iconic Hotel, Doha Zoo, LRDP Projects etc. in Qatar.

Zulfiqar Ali

Zulfiqar Ali is an Engineer with extensive executive management and  professional experience in strategic and operational management in traffic and parking in United Kingdom. He has held senior positions( including Director level post) in various local government authorities in London and South East of England. He has also been a freelance consultant in local government where he has managed traffic and parking services and has been instrumental in leading modernisation of services such as parking. He is associated with parking industry particularly in public sector and has been a member of the Executive Council of the British Parking Association (BPA) since 2013. He is currently the chairman of the BPA’s East of England region. He has also been a visiting senior lecturer teaching at postgraduate level at the University of East London, covering specialist subject (traffic, parking and transportation engineering) and has been a speaker at various conferences and seminars. Amir Sedadi

Amir Sedadi serves as Chief Innovation Officer for IPS Group. As CIO, Amir is tasked with driving, developing and managing innovative and intelligent parking solutions with a strategic focus on Smart Cities both in the US and internationally. Amir will continue to work closely with other IPS executives to provide insight into business and product development.

After retiring from the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) in 2012, Amir joined IPS Group, bringing over 25 years of transportation management, engineering, policy and legislative experience with expertise in the areas of intelligent parking management operations & policies, transportation planning, budget, and administration. As the LADOT Assistant General Manager, Amir provided comprehensive oversight of LADOT’s parking operations including on- and off-street parking program, permit parking, enforcement, taxi operations, car sharing program and planning and development. At the request of Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa, Amir also served as the Department of Transportation Interim General Manager, managing over 1,800 employees and a total budget of approximately $500 million.

Amir’s vision and leadership was crucial to the modernization of the Los Angeles parking program. Through the introduction of Smart Parking technology, the City nearly doubled its annual parking revenue through a multi-faceted Smart Cities approach utilizing state-of-the-art technology, adjusting policies, and overhauling many of its parking lots and garages. Amir was also responsible for creating and implementing the successful demand-based parking project “LA Express Park.” Amir holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University Long Beach, and is a registered Professional Engineer.

Dr. Hamid Menouar

Dr. Hamid Menouar is a Product Manager and a R&D Expert at Qatar Mobility Innovations Center (www.qmic.com), where he is responsible of different innovations initiatives that include Connected & Automated Vehicles (CAVs), Smart Parking and Indoor Localization.

Dr. Hamid has heavily contributed in enabling the first Connected Vehicles field demo by the Car-to-Car Communication Consortium (www.car-to-car.org) in Europe back in 2008. He has also been responsible for the development and deployment in Qatar of the first MENA standards-compliant Connected Vehicles platform. Dr. Hamid is leading the Smart Parking initiative at QMIC, and working with local stakeholders to enable real-time parking availability information sharing in the country.

Born in Vienna, Austria, Mr. Heindl serves the industry since almost 10 years now. Mr. Heindl has worked in the US, Europe and is based in the Middle East since almost a year. 

In his previous position with SKIDATA he was appointed General Manager for Russia & the CIS countries, where he contributed with his know-how in Parking Management and People Access control for Stadia and Event locations. 

In his current position, Mr. Heindl is the Executive Director of SKIDATA Middle East L.L.C (Dubai, UAE) as well as Area Manager for the GCC. 

Mr. Heindl holds academic degrees from both Vienna University, as well as Vienna University of Business Administration.
